What We Do

A Real Colour Change, Not a Spray Job

Most leather colour change services in India are spray-paint jobs - automotive PU paint applied to leather. They look great for a season and crack off in panels by month nine. We do the opposite: an eight-stage process beginning with a full topcoat strip, then water-based pigment applied in 4-6 micro-coats, finished with a UV-stable flexible topcoat that bonds to the hide and moves with it.

We can deliver any commercially available leather shade - cognac, espresso, sand, charcoal, oxblood, taupe, slate, antique tan - as well as custom matches against your fabric, wall paint, or photograph. Two-tone and ombre finishes are possible by hand-feathering pigment passes. The topcoat is the finish that fails first on cheap re-pigmentation jobs. Ours is a polyurethane micro-emulsion that flexes with the hide through 100,000+ sit cycles and resists UV-fading in Indian sunlight.

Two-Tone & Ombre Finishes

Hand-feathered pigment passes for two-tone, ombre, antique-rub or distressed effects. We re-create the original gradient effect from luxury Italian and French houses.

Doorstep Application

Swatch & Surface Prep

Free on-site swatch test on a hidden panel. Once approved, full topcoat strip with leather-safe deglazer to expose a pigment-receptive substrate.

Prime & Base Pigment

Adhesion primer applied with a low-pressure HVLP gun. Two base coats of water-based pigment, each cured under controlled airflow.

Mid & Finish Coat Build

Two to four feathered colour-build coats to deliver depth, evenness and the colour temperature signed off in your swatch test. Hand-rubbed antique effects added at this stage where requested.

How long does a leather colour change last?

With our 8-stage water-based pigment system and UV-stable flexible topcoat, expect 8 to 12+ years before any visible touch-up is needed. Spray-paint jobs (which we do not do) typically crack off in 8 to 18 months.

Can you go from a dark colour to a lighter one?

Yes. Dark to light is technically harder than light to dark - it requires more base coats to opacity-correct - but it is fully possible. Examples we have done: black to taupe, espresso to sand, oxblood to cognac.

Will the colour crack or peel later?

Not when the pigment system is correct. Cracking and peeling are signs of solvent paint applied to leather without proper preparation. Our water-based system bonds into the hide and our flexible topcoat is engineered for daily flex cycles.

Does the new colour smell like paint?

No - water-based pigments have a faint biscuit-like smell that fully dissipates in 12 hours. There are no solvent fumes. The room is safe to occupy after the 24-hour cure window.

Can you match a specific Pantone or fabric swatch?

Yes. Bring a Pantone reference, fabric sample, wall-paint chip, or even a photograph. Our colour kitchen carries 240+ leather pigment masters and we mix to match on-site under daylight reference.
