Verona & Tuscan: the seat leather is peeling

On the Verona and Tuscan, the coloured finish on the seats starts flaking off after five to eight years of daily use. It usually begins at the front edge and spreads across the seat within a year or so. Furniture polish makes it worse - it seals the broken finish in. The fix is to take off the loose finish and rebuild the colour properly. See our cracking repair if the leather has split deeper.

Cortina & Adriatic: the recliner sticks or whines

The Cortina and Adriatic power recliners start playing up after three to five years - a whining motor, slow or stuck movement, or a footrest that won't sit right. Most of the time it's a small worn part or dried-out grease, not the motor itself. You rarely need to replace the whole mechanism, so don't let anyone talk you into that without checking first.

Roma & Bellagio: the colour has faded

The Roma and Bellagio use a softer leather that shows its colour more, so sun and harsh cleaners shift the tone over time - browns go pale, dark shades go grey, light shades go yellow. A quick surface recoat hides it for a few months, then flakes off. The colour has to be put back into the leather, not painted on top.
