Enzyme solution is worked into leather pores using a soft brush, then injected into seam channels with a thin applicator. Will the odour come back after treatment?

For surface and mid-depth odours, one treatment is permanent - the organic molecules are broken down and cannot reconstitute. For deep pet urine contamination with foam penetration, we offer a 30-day guarantee: if the odour returns within 30 days we return and re-treat at no charge. In 12 years this has been exercised fewer than 20 times.

How long does the on-site treatment take?

Surface odour treatment takes 2-3 hours including drying time. Deep mildew and pet protocols take 3-4 hours. The leather needs a further 4-6 hours of ventilated drying after we leave before normal use. We schedule morning visits so the sofa is usable by evening.

Is the enzyme treatment safe around children and pets?

Yes. Our enzyme solutions are water-based and non-toxic once dry. We ask that the area is ventilated during treatment and for 2 hours after while drying. After that the surface is completely safe - no residual chemical smell, no skin irritant, no toxic off-gassing.

My cat urinated on the sofa months ago. Is it still treatable?

Yes - aged cat urine is actually common. Uric acid crystals become more stable over time but enzyme treatment still breaks them down effectively. The main difference is that old contamination sometimes requires a second application with 24 hours between sessions. We assess this during the initial UV mapping step.
