We read the hide first - aniline, semi-aniline or pigmented - then map where the afternoon sun has bleached the seat fronts pale against the shaded back panels. pH checked on a hidden corner, dry zones and high-wear cushions noted, exact package quoted before a single bottle is opened.
A pH 5 leather-safe cleaner lifts the fine winter PM2.5 film, hand oils and street grit out of the grain - the grime that mattes a sun-faded panel further. Soft horsehair brush on textured hide, microfibre on smooth. Wet-buffing colour over this haze only smears it, so it comes off first.
A hide-grade conditioner worked in by hand to replace the lipids that sub-30% winter air has pulled out of the leather. Roughly twenty minutes to draw down into the grain, then the excess is wiped back so the pores can still breathe. This is the pass that takes the papery, dry hand-feel away.

Then a low-noise battery buffer hand-finishes to the sheen agreed at inspection - matte, satin or soft gloss - until the whole set looks like one colour, not three. Light use in 2-3 hours, full cure overnight.
