Can you restore Flexform aniline without adding a topcoat?
Yes, and this is the only correct approach. Applying a pigmented topcoat over aniline leather destroys the character of the hide -- the translucency, the natural variation, the hand-feel. Our protocol uses aniline-compatible penetrating dye, feather-blended in three passes, with a breathable aniline sealant. No pigmented topcoat is applied on undamaged aniline zones under any circumstance. Delta-E target is 1.5 or below.
