Smog film dry-lifted first, then cleaned to the grain with low-mineral solutions - no workshop pickup.
Leather sofa cleaning in Gurgaon starts at ₹2,500 per seat, done at your doorstep across Gurugram's high-rises in one 3-4 hour visit. We identify the hide, dry-lift winter smog grime, then clear the chalky hard-water film that borewell tap-water wiping leaves behind, using low-mineral pH-matched solutions and never tap water. We cover DLF Phase 1, DLF Phase 5, Sushant Lok 1, Nirvana Country and Ardee City - no workshop pickup.

Borewell hard water leaves a chalky film on the grain and Millennium City smog grinds in on top of it - the kind of build-up a generic foam only smears around. We run a conservation studio's kit: low-mineral, pH-tuned cleaners read against each hide, conditioners picked to lift that mineral film, and colour brought back to the hide's factory shade, with every solution trialled on a concealed spot of your leather before the full pass.

Italian-Grade, Leather-Safe Chemistry
1,200+ hides cleaned and conserved across NCR
The conditioners and pigments on our cart are the conservation-grade ones specified for Natuzzi, Poltrona Frau and Fendi Casa hides - never a supermarket cleaner. Each is calibrated to your leather grade and checked on a tucked-away area before we commit to a full coat. As industry body Leather Naturally observes, sturdy full-grain leather will hold up for two decades and more given regular cleaning and conditioning.
Book Atelier VisitA standard outfit loads your sofa into a van for a multi-day workshop run. We assess, clean, condition and seal where it stands - your sofa never leaves the room.

DLF Phase 5 and Nirvana Country homes often hold imported aniline - fully natural, uncoated hide that drinks in whatever you put on it. The wrong product darkens it for good in minutes, so the hide is identified before any bottle is opened.
Inspection & Leather ID
Across DLF Phase 5 and Nirvana Country we routinely meet open aniline - natural, uncoated hide that absorbs cleaning agents straight into the grain. A mismatched solution stains it permanently within minutes, so we confirm the leather type and run a patch test before anything else begins.
Winter PM2.5 above 250 ug/m3 settles into seams as a greasy soot film. Wet cleaning over it drags the grit across the grain. A soft brush and low-suction vacuum take it out dry first.
Smog-Grime Extraction
Through the smog months the fine particulate lodges in leather seams and channels as a sticky soot layer. Cleaning wet over it grinds the grit across the surface and dulls the topcoat for good. We dry-lift it with a soft brush and low-suction vacuum before any moisture goes near the hide.
Borewell hardness leaves a chalky calcium-magnesium film on the hide. A low-mineral cleaner matched to leather's natural 4.5-5.5 acidity dissolves it without touching the topcoat - and never plain tap water.
pH-Balanced Deep Clean
Local borewell supply, commonly 800 to 1500 ppm TDS, dries into a calcium-magnesium bloom on the leather. We clean with a low-mineral solution held to the hide's natural 4.5-5.5 pH, which lifts that film and ingrained body oils while leaving the topcoat and sheen intact. Tap water never goes near the sofa.
With the film and grime gone, the dried-out hide gets its fat-liquor back. A matched conditioner feeds the grain, a breathable topcoat seals it, and the sofa is ready in 3-4 hours.
Conditioning & Protect
Once the mineral film and soot are off, the hide is left thirsty. We replace its fat-liquor - the oils that keep the grain supple - with a conditioner matched to that leather, then seal with a breathable topcoat. The sofa is back in use within 3-4 hours of completion.
Sofas in Gurugram tend to fail in two stacked patterns. One: hard-water film. Borewell supply across Sushant Lok 1 and Ardee City runs very hard, so tap-water wiping leaves a chalky calcium-magnesium bloom on light-pigmented and white hides inside a year - owners mistake it for fading. Two: smog grime. When winter AQI pushes past 400, soot settles on top and dulls the finish; it has to be dry-lifted before any wet pass or it smears into the grain. We read which layer dominates on inspection and treat them in the right order.
"Convinced myself our white Natuzzi three-seater was fading when actually the helper's tap-water wiping had left a hard-water film across the seats. They lifted it in an afternoon and the white is bright again. The bill was exactly the quote, no headrest-oil surprise add-ons."
"After the November smog our tan leather sofa looked grey and lifeless. They dry-lifted the soot before anything wet touched it, then conditioned the hide back over about three hours. They were straight the whole time about what a clean could and couldn't fix."
"A chalky white bloom had spread across the arms of our brown pigmented five-seater and nobody could shift it. These people knew straight away it was mineral film from our borewell water, used a low-mineral solution, and the grain reads clean again. Worth the short wait for a slot."
These are trained leather specialists, not general upholstery hands. Each one reads your hide, patch-tests it, and conditions by hand - the same small team turns up for every doorstep visit, so the standard never changes.
Hard-water mineral film and winter smog grime - two problems with one right fix, settled in a single 3-4 hour doorstep visit.
Borewell water in Gurgaon - Gurugram on the newer maps - is very hard, so tap-water wiping dries into a chalky bloom owners mistake for fading, while smog season adds a dull grey haze. Neither responds to more wiping.
So we never use tap water. We dry-extract the grime first, then clean with a low-mineral, pH-matched solution respecting leather's natural 4.5 to 5.5 acidity - the chalk lifts, the haze clears, and the true grain colour returns.

Leather in a Gurugram flat fights two things at once: a chalky calcium-magnesium bloom left by very hard borewell water, and a dulling layer of winter smog grime that settles over it. Imported aniline and semi-aniline hides absorb the wrong cleaner straight into the grain, so we patch-test inside an arm panel before a drop reaches the visible surface. There is no haul-away either - we treat everything in your living room and hand the sofa back usable inside 3-4 hours.
