Pigment matched and laid on in a thin coat - a wax dressing for older aniline, a water-based film for modern pigmented sets - then hand-buffed to a clean dry satin. We finish with a breathable seal so the clammy sea air cannot soften the surface back to sticky. Room back in use the same evening.
