Polish only holds while the finish itself is still whole, though: once the damp salt air has loosened the adhesive underneath and the topcoat is peeling or cracked at the seat folds and inner arms, buffing cannot bring it back, and the honest answer is rebonding and refinishing that lifted finish at home instead.
