Split grain, peeling or burst seams? That is leather sofa repair. To bring back faded colour and sheen, look at leather sofa polishing. Just starting out with leather? Read how to clean a leather sofa at home and what to do about cracking leather.
Here a hide endures month-long dry spells, storms that pack fine sand into every stitch line, and borewell water hard enough to chalk over a pale finish. The Italian pieces standing in C-Scheme and Civil Lines drawing rooms are usually unsealed aniline, which means a patch test inside an arm panel before anything reaches the open grain. Where the usual outfit removes your sofa to a workshop for the better part of a week, we settle into your living room and wrap the whole job inside 3-4 hours.

One house call turned into a craft.
Twelve years on, more than 1,200 homes across India have trusted us with their leather - each hide read and treated on its own terms.
A desert sofa carries baked-dry grain, abrasive Thar grit and a hard-water whitening haze - three things one generic bottle cannot fix. Working like a leather atelier, we grade each hide, then reach for low-mineral pH-tuned solvents to clear the mineral bloom, hide-matched conditioners to soften the crackle, and the faded colour re-matched against its first tone, with every product patch-tested first.

Italian-Grade, Leather-Safe Chemistry
1,200+ hides revived across Jaipur and the wider country
Every conditioner and pigment on our cart meets the grade written for Natuzzi, Poltrona Frau and Fendi Casa hides, never the off-the-shelf cleaner. Each is keyed to your leather grade and proven on a hidden patch before it goes anywhere near the open surface. As Leather Naturally points out, good full-grain leather can run past 20 years when it is cleaned and fed properly.
Book Atelier VisitWhere others cart the piece off to a workshop for days on end, our team reads, cleans, feeds and seals the hide right where it stands - the sofa never crosses your doorway.

C-Scheme and Civil Lines homes often run Italian aniline - bare, natural hide with no coat. A wrong product darkens it for good in minutes, so we confirm the leather before any bottle opens.
Inspection & Leather ID
C-Scheme and Civil Lines homes often hold Italian aniline pieces - bare, uncoated hide that pulls any cleaning agent straight into the grain. Reach for the wrong one and the leather darkens permanently within minutes. We pin down the hide type before a single bottle is opened.
Storm-blown sand settles into the seams. Clean over it wet and you grind those particles across the grain - permanent. A soft brush and low-suction vacuum take it out dry first.
Dust & Sand Grit Extraction
The Thar's pre-monsoon storms drive fine sand into every seam and channel of the hide. Cleaning wet over that grit drags it across the grain and leaves micro-scratches you cannot undo. A soft brush and low-suction vacuum clear it dry before any solution is introduced.
Hard local water dries to a chalky mineral cast on the hide. A low-mineral cleaner set to leather's own 4.5-5.5 acidity dissolves it without touching the topcoat.
pH-Balanced Deep Clean
With local TDS commonly between 400 and 1200 ppm, the water itself leaves calcium and magnesium deposits drying as a haze on the surface. A low-mineral cleaner pitched to leather's natural 4.5-5.5 acidity lifts both that bloom and the body oils, leaving the topcoat and sheen untouched.
Arid heat draws out the leather's fat-liquor. A hide-matched conditioner puts it back, a breathable topcoat locks it in, and the sofa is ready to sit on within 3-4 hours.
Conditioning & Protect
Sustained heat at 40-44C wicks out the fat-liquor - the oils that keep the grain supple. A conditioner matched to your hide replaces them, a breathable topcoat seals the work, and the piece is fit to use within 3-4 hours of the final pass.
Leather here fails in three ways most cities never see together. One: heat brittling. Air around 35 percent humidity with long runs of high heat bakes the moisture out of the hide, so aniline and semi-aniline craze and go stiff within two to four years. Two: abrasive grit. Fine Thar sand slips past closed windows and beds into the grain and seams, sanding at the topcoat with every sitting. Three: hard-water whitening. Mineral-heavy supply dries to a pale film on light and white hides inside a year. At the inspection we name which of the three is in front of us before lifting a cloth.
Leather-trained hands, not a general upholstery crew. Each artisan grades your hide, runs the patch test, and conditions by hand - and it is the same team that turns up at every doorstep across the city.
Heat brittling, grit in the grain, and a mineral bloom on pale hides - three problems, each with its own remedy, handled in one 3-4 hour doorstep visit.
We reach C-Scheme, Civil Lines, Malviya Nagar, Vaishali Nagar and Mansarovar, usually within a day or two. Arid heat splits the folds while hard local water leaves a chalky cast. We rehydrate the hide and dry-extract the grit before any wet work, then a pH 4.5-5.5 deep clean lifts true colour back up.

"Our tan aniline three-seater in C-Scheme had turned stiff and was crazing along the arms after years of dry heat. They read it as aniline, tested a hidden patch, and over one afternoon coaxed it back to soft. It never left the room and the bill matched the quote."
"Every storm left our brown pigmented five-seater in Malviya Nagar feeling gritty. Past cleaners only wiped the surface and the sand stayed buried in the seams. This crew pulled the grit out dry first, then deep cleaned - the grain came back and the rough feel was gone."
"Our white leather settee in Vaishali Nagar carried a chalky film no cloth would shift - it turned out to be hard-water minerals. A special rinse cleared it and the white looks bright once more. I have already booked the six-month refresh."
