July humidity near 86% off the Arabian Sea keeps a hide moisture-soaked, so the finish turns tacky and mould creeps the seams in one monsoon. We de-mould, deep-clean and condition in a single visit - the sofa never leaves your living room.

1,200+ hides cleaned across India
Salt-and-grit dry-lifted, mould cleared, then cleaned right to the grain - and the sofa stays put.
"Two monsoons in our Adajan flat and the white Natuzzi three-seater had turned tacky, with mould tracking the seams. They read it as semi-aniline, ran an anti-fungal pass and dried it out properly. It sits dry and clean again - no van, no pickup, no surprise on the bill."
"That fine grey sea haze kept settling into our brown pigmented L-sofa in Vesu however often we wiped it - turns out wiping was the problem. They dry-lifted it first, then deep cleaned. The grain finally reads clean rather than dull and greyed over."
"Years of Surat heat had left the headrests on our tan aniline sofa in Athwa Lines dark and greasy - I'd written them off as gone. In one afternoon they lifted the oil darkening and re-evened the panels, and were straight with me about exactly what was fixable."
One per-seat starting price - monsoon mould clearing and salt-grit dry-lift are part of the clean, not extras billed on top. The full scope is fixed at a free on-site read in your Surat home, and moves only with seat count, leather grade and how far the sea-damp has gone into the hide.

Leather sofa cleaning in Surat starts at ₹2,500 per seat, done at home in one 3-4 hour visit. We read the hide - aniline, semi-aniline or pigmented - clear monsoon mould and the tacky finish that mid-80s humidity leaves behind, dry-lift the sea-salt and grit before any wet pass, then ease out oil darkening with pH-matched Italian conditioners. We cover Vesu, Piplod, Adajan, City Light and Athwa Lines, and the sofa never leaves your room.

Trained leather hands, not all-purpose upholstery crews. Each artisan reads your hide, patch-tests it and conditions by hand - and it is the same team that turns up at your door each visit.
Sea-air mould, a salt-and-grit film, and oil-darkened headrests - three faults, each with its own fix, handled in one 3-4 hour home visit.
We reach Vesu, Piplod, Adajan, City Light and Athwa Lines within a day or two. Mid-80s monsoon humidity and a salt-heavy breeze leave leather tacky and grey-filmed; we de-grease and dry the hide first, then clean it back to its own colour.

A four-stage sequence we have tightened hide after hide - set up for mid-80s monsoon saturation, salt-and-grit film and oil darkening. Select a card below to follow that stage in detail.
Plenty of Vesu and City Light drawing rooms run Italian aniline - bare, uncoated hide that drinks in whatever you apply. The wrong product darkens it for good in minutes, so we confirm the hide before a single bottle opens.
Inspection & Leather ID
Vesu and City Light homes often hold Italian aniline pieces - bare, uncoated hide that pulls cleaning agents straight into the grain. In Surat's saturation aniline also shows mould first, so we map both the hide type and the damage before anything opens.
Standing damp blooms mould along the seams while salt-and-grit beds into the grain. We clear the mould with an anti-fungal pass and dry-vacuum the grit first - go wet over either one and you only spread it.
Mould & Dust Extraction
Saturated sea air feeds mould along the seams and underside, while the salt-heavy breeze and fine grit drift into the grain. An anti-fungal pass lifts the bloom; a soft brush and low-suction vacuum clear the dry particulate before any wet step - this is the dry-extract-first rule that keeps grit from smearing in.
Oil-darkened headrests and a tacky, humidity-softened finish both come up with a cleaner matched to leather's natural 4.5-5.5 acidity - it dissolves the grime without unsettling the topcoat.
pH-Balanced Deep Clean
Warmth-driven oil darkening sinks into headrests and armrests, and the trapped sea moisture leaves the finish tacky. A cleaner held to leather's natural 4.5-5.5 acidity dissolves both at once without touching the topcoat or its sheen.
We dry the hide right through, put back its fat-liquor with a hide-matched conditioner, then seal it with a breathable topcoat that fights moisture re-uptake. Sofa back in use within 3-4 hours.
Condition, Dry & Protect
Once it is clean we dry the hide completely so sea moisture has nowhere to lodge. A hide-matched conditioner restores fat-liquor; a breathable topcoat re-cures the finish so it stops feeling tacky and holds off the next round of humidity. Sofa ready within 3-4 hours of finishing.
Sofas on the Arabian Sea coast fail three ways that inland cities rarely see. One: sea-air mould and a tacky finish. With monsoon humidity holding in the mid-80s, the leather never dries; the finish goes sticky and mould runs the seams once the air clears the ~75% activation mark. Two: salt-and-grit film. A sea breeze up to 80% salt drops it, with road grit, as a dull grey haze packed into the grain. Three: oil darkening. Constant warm damp pushes perspiration and body oil into the headrests until the panels dull and darken. At the read we tell you which of the three is on your sofa, and how far it has gone.
Surat air stays loaded - coastal humidity saturates the hide, sea-salt and dust settle into a grey film, and body oil darkens the armrests. A generic crew just wets all of that down again. Our bench works the opposite way, pulling moisture and grit clear before any liquid pass, then bringing in pH-tuned solvents, hide-matched conditioners and a UV-resistant topcoat keyed to your grade. Every product is patch-tested first and the shade is colour re-matched only where the salt-bleach shows.

Our conditioners and pigments come straight from the European range made for Natuzzi, Poltrona Frau and Fendi Casa upholstery, not a corner-shop tin. We tune each one to your hide's grade and trial it on a tucked-away patch before any full application. Industry body Leather Naturally notes that good full-grain leather can run 20+ years when it is cleaned and conditioned properly.
Book Atelier VisitThe standard outfit hauls the piece away to a workshop for days on end. Our technician diagnoses, lifts the grime, feeds the leather and protects it all within your living room - the sofa never leaves your home.
Average doorstep visit
No workshop pickupThrough July and August the air off the Arabian Sea holds humidity in the mid-80s, so a hide never fully dries - the finish stays soft and sticky, and mould climbs the seams. That same sea wind is up to 80% salt during the rains and drops it, plus fine road grit, as a dull film across the grain, while constant warmth pushes perspiration and body oil deep into the headrests. Run one foam wipe over the lot and you smear it in. We work right there in your home and have the sofa usable inside 3-4 hours, with Vesu and Piplod slots usually same-day.
